He is a 1997 graduate of DePauw University where he graduated Magna Cum Laude and Phi Beta Kappa while earning a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and Management. Mr. Tempel was president of the Alpha Tau Omega fraternity for two years. During his studies at DePauw, he interned for Representative Lee Hamilton in Washington, D.C. He also completed a clerkship for Edward Lehman at the L & A Law Firm in Beijing, China where he studied business and international law, and completed an International Business Seminar through the University of Missouri where he studied business in France, Luxembourg, Belgium, Germany and The Netherlands.

He is a 2000 graduate of Indiana University School of Law-Bloomington and is admitted to the Indiana State Bar. Upon graduating from Law School, Mr. Tempel worked in Denver, Colorado before returning to Bloomington in 2002. Mr. Tempel’s areas of practice include Criminal Law, OWI, Drug Crimes, Business Law, Contracts, Corporations, Administrative Law, Employment and Labor Law, Real Estate Transactions, Civil Litigation, Personal Injury, Divorce/Custody, Healthcare, Disability and Wills. Mr. Tempel has sixteen (16) years of experience and has practiced law in twenty-seven (27) different counties in Indiana including the United States District Court, Southern District of Indiana. Mr. Tempel resides in Bloomington, Indiana with his wife and two children.
